FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Nomura strategist Saeed Amen has investigated historical price action over Easter to assess whether there is a historical pattern.
He finds that generally EUR/USD falls in the week preceding Good Friday, but then rises into Easter Monday. Elsewhere he sees that stocks rise through the week but tend to come off on Easter Monday. Looking to USD/JPY he sees that there is a slight tendency to rise in the second half of the week, but the seasonality move of the price action appears less strong than for EUR/USD.
