China NDRC - Chinese economy still faces many difficulties and challenges

China’s state and economic planner, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said in statement this Tuesday that, ”the Chinese economy still faces many difficulties and challenges as it is in a key transformation period wherein the old growth drivers are upgrading as well as transferring to new drivers while the world economy is also in a phase of deep adjustment.”

The state planner added, “China should push ahead with supply-side structural reform and expand effective demand actively.”

“China has the confidence and capability to meet targets for this year, and maintain medium- and high-economic growth”, it said.
