NZD/USD hits fresh 3-month highs above 0.77
FXStreet (Mumbai) - NZD/USD shaved-off losses from early Asian trades and extended its upward moves for the fourth straight session in to Europe, driving the Kiwi to a new three-month high beyond 0.77 barrier, as the Kiwi jumps on persistent broad USD weakness.
NZD/USD extends beyond 0.7700
Currently, the NZD/USD pair trades 0.40% higher at fresh three month highs of 0.7707. NZD/USD extended its winning streak and climbed higher largely as the US dollar resumed its downtrend backed by the recent series of downbeat US economic releases.
Moreover, traders favour the Kiwi ahead of US CPI print later in the day, pushing NZD/USD higher. Meanwhile, higher gold prices and gains seen in the Aussie also continue to support the Kiwi pair.
NZD/USD Levels to consider
To the upside, the next resistance is located at 0.7750 levels and above which it could extend gains to 0.7818 levels. To the downside immediate support might be located at 0.7646 (Today’s Low) levels below that at 0.7600 levels.
